About a year ago, I acquired a Hydrasynth Desktop, but soon discovered it was faulty. At times, it wouldn’t produce any sound when I played the pads, and during start-up, it emitted loud, chaotic noises. Randomizing the sounds resulted in bizarre artifacts that resembled broken circuits. Instead of returning it right away, I seized the opportunity to sample these intriguing and raw noises, which led to the creation of 'Broken Hydra.' This expansion features a curated selection of those unique sounds, along with some wavetableized versions. I hope you find inspiration in these sonic anomalies!
