- included patches are not guaranteed to be compatible with future versions of VCV Rack and/or modules since they are dependent on a lot of third party modules that are constantly updated
- user will have to update midi and audio devices in MIDI-CV in AUDIO-8 modules in every patch and then resave the patch to make changes permanent
- VCV Rack can be very CPU intensive with some complex patches

Modular Lab II is a collection of instrument templates and sounds built within VCV Rack modular environment. It offers ideas and various approaches to sound generation, giving you playground to explore and further modify the included patches. Instruments are divided into different categories depending on the application. You will find all sort of different sound generators for pads, textures, sequences and more which will enable you to create vast array of unique sounds for your musical applications.
Modular Lab II comes in two versions:
- Templates (free) - collection of patch templates the were used to created the presets/sounds - different patch configurations and modifications
- Sounds (paid) - patch variations derived from templates + Templates from free version
